Antoine SAWAYA , Pharm.D., Ph.D. Dr Antoine SAWAYA obtained his Degree in Pharmacy in 1983 from St Joseph=s University in Lebanon. He received his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Technology in 1986 from the University of Paris XI -France. He worked 8 years in different Pharmaceutical Companies as Responsible for the Pharmaceutical Development. He joined the French Medicines Agency in 1994 as a Pharmaceutical Assessor . In 1996 he was appointed Head of the Pharmaceutical Unit. Since 1999 he has been appointed Head of the Evaluation Division of Medicinal Products Pharmaceutical Quality by the French Health Products Safety Agency (AFSSAPS). Since 1995 he has been an expert for the European Medicines Agency (EMEA). He is a member of the Quality Working Party, the Herbal Medicinal Products Committee and other Ad Hoc groups of the EMEA.
